We're seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with enterprise customers, transforming their finance, accounting, and operations processes with AI-powered automation. This role combines technical problem solving with strategic thinking and requires strong client-facing skills.
Candidates must have existing authorization to work in the US, as we unfortunately aren't yet in a position to sponsor visas.
What You'll Do
Customer Engagement & Business Development
- Work directly with C-suite executives and department heads to identify automation opportunities
- Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and implementation roadmaps
- Present technical solutions and ROI projections to executive stakeholders
- Build long-term strategic relationships that expand our footprint within enterprise accounts
Technical Solution Design & Development
- Lead technical architecture and development of custom Python automation solutions
- Design integrations with existing enterprise systems (ERPs, financial systems, databases)
- Build end-to-end workflows that automate manual processes in finance, accounting, and operations
- Create scalable, maintainable solutions that handle enterprise-grade data volumes
Implementation & Delivery
- Own project delivery from initial scoping through production deployment
- Manage technical implementations across multiple stakeholder groups
- Coordinate with internal product teams to incorporate field learnings into our platform
- Ensure solutions meet enterprise security, compliance, and performance requirements
Strategic Impact
- Act as the voice of the customer to inform product development priorities
- Identify patterns across deployments that can be productized for broader market adoption
- Contribute to our services-led growth strategy by proving value before scaling
What We're Looking For
Technical Excellence
- 3+ years of software engineering experience with strong Python proficiency
- Experience with enterprise system integrations (APIs, databases, cloud platforms)
- Understanding of finance, accounting, or operations processes and data flows
- Ability to architect solutions that balance customization with maintainability
Business Acumen
- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
- Comfort presenting to and influencing senior executives
- Understanding of enterprise sales cycles and implementation processes
- Ability to identify and articulate business value and ROI
Execution & Leadership
- Track record of leading complex technical projects from conception to delivery
- Experience working directly with enterprise customers in a consulting or implementation capacity
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously in ambiguous situations
- Excellent communication skills across technical and business audiences
Preferred Experience
- Background in fintech, enterprise software, or consulting
- Experience with automation tools, workflow engines, or business process optimization
- Knowledge of enterprise software procurement and deployment processes
- Previous role as a technical founder, solutions engineer, or customer-facing engineer
- Comfortable with travel to customer sites
- Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work independently in ambiguous situations
